The RM 11-03 is the successor to the RM 011; while the RM 11 series features more restrained case lines, the RM 11-03 boasts a more powerful aesthetic. The RM 11-03 McLaren Orange stands as a quintessential example of the carbon-fiber models within the RM 11-03 series, perfectly blending supercar aerodynamics and signature color schemes with cutting-edge horological materials science.
The bezel of the genuine watch is crafted from a composite material blending carbon fiber and orange quartz fiber, creating a unique, marbled, layered pattern of orange and black. This serves as the signature identity of the RM 11-03 McLaren Orange.
How do high-end replicas achieve this?
We mix premium cool-toned fiberglass with a specially formulated orange resin. Using a high-pressure layering process, we alternate hundreds of sheets of black carbon fiber and orange-pigmented fiberglass at 45° or 90° angles, then cure the assembly in a high-temperature, high-pressure autoclave to form a solid block. We then use 5-axis CNC machining for 3D contour cutting; because the cutting angle varies at each cross-section, the resulting case surface displays the same marbled, flowing patterns and "Papaya Orange" striations found on the genuine model. To be frank, we achieve about 90% similarity—but this is a far cry from the engineering plastics and simple spray-painting used in low-end replicas.
Furthermore, our movement components and baseplates—including the signature spline screws—undergo sandblasting and black PVD treatment to ensure the details remain consistent with the genuine article.
Integrated movement
we utilize an integrated clone movement rather than a modified 7750 movement，16.8mm in thickness, virtually identical to the genuine 16.23mm article. This serves as a key visual indicator distinguishing our watch from standard 7750-based replicas; because those models require stacked movement plates, their thickness invariably exceeds 18mm.
Water Resistance
The genuine model is water-resistant to 50 meters, whereas our replica is rated for 10 meters—sufficient only for daily water exposure (such as hand-washing, sweat, or light rain). It is worth noting that the genuine watch is also effectively limited to daily water resistance; activities like swimming, diving, surfing, and showering pose significant risks. This is due to the RM's complex "sandwich" construction, tonneau-shaped case, and signature five-screw design.
